Youth Wrestling Practice in Sarasota

Sarasota Wrestling Club provides youth wrestling practices for boys and girls in grades 1–8 from every Sarasota-area school. No experience is needed, and the first practice is always free.

Practice Schedule

Practices are held every Tuesday and Thursday from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM. Athletes train in wrestling technique, movement, conditioning, live situations, and age-appropriate skill development.

We practice in the Wrestling Room, Room 2-102, inside the Ed Howell Gymnasium at Sarasota High School.

What to Expect at Your First Practice

Arrive 10–15 minutes early

Wear comfortable athletic clothes with no metal parts

New wrestlers may wear clean sneakers until they have wrestling shoes

Bring a labeled water bottle

Before You Arrive

Before an athlete attends their first practice, a parent or guardian must complete both the Sarasota Wrestling Club waiver and the contact form. Monthly members must also maintain an AAU Extended Coverage membership.
